Rethink on Libya

The Younes killing actually makes the fall of Gaddafi even less likely. Not only has the TNC lost its most able military leader; its forces are also shown to be dangerously divided. The rebels were already making little enough headway against Gaddafi’s forces without falling out among themselves. With Italy anxious to pull out of the alliance and the US displaying a worrying lack of engagement in the conflict, the time is indeed ripe for a re-assessment of our Libya strategy.
